By using BreadHydration.com you agree to these terms. They are intentionally brief and written in plain language.

1. About this service

BreadHydration.com provides free, browser-based baking calculators and reference tools. The service is offered as-is, without charge, and without requiring registration. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

2. No warranty on calculations

The calculators on this site perform mathematical operations based on the values you enter. While we take care to ensure the formulas are correct, we make no warranty — express or implied — that the outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Baking is affected by factors that no calculator can account for: the exact protein and absorption capacity of your specific flour batch, ambient humidity and temperature, the calibration of your scale, and your own technique. Use the calculator outputs as a starting point, not a guarantee.

We are not liable for any loss, waste of ingredients, or disappointing bakes that result from relying on the outputs of these tools. Always apply your own judgment and adjust based on the feel of the dough.

3. User responsibility

You are solely responsible for verifying that any recipe or calculation produced by this site meets your requirements before using it. This includes:

  • Confirming that ingredient weights are appropriate for your equipment and batch size.
  • Checking that hydration percentages are suitable for your specific flour brand.
  • Adjusting for altitude, humidity, or other environmental factors that the calculators do not model.

If you are a professional baker or producing food commercially, you should have your recipes independently verified and scaled by a qualified professional. This site is intended for home bakers and enthusiasts.

4. No data storage beyond your own browser

BreadHydration.com does not store your recipe inputs, calculation results, or any personally identifiable information on our servers. Calculator history is saved to your browser's localStorage only — it stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

As a result, we cannot retrieve or restore your calculation history if you clear your browser data. We are not responsible for any loss of locally stored data.

5. Acceptable use

You may use BreadHydration.com for personal, non-commercial baking purposes. You may also use it in a professional or commercial baking context, subject to the disclaimers in Section 3.

You must not use this site to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its hosting infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the site in a way that places unreasonable load on our servers.
  • Reproduce or distribute the site's content or tools as your own without attribution.

We reserve the right to block access to any user or IP address that we believe is abusing the service.
